- Materials and recycling
Porsche has always include the concept of lightweight design in terms of making a high performance sports car. The use of high tensile metals and aluminum alloys enables the company to develop cars which are lighter and stronger than those of who used conventional steel. The car design will benefit car owners as it requires less material to manufacture and consume less fuel every mile. About 85% of the car parts and components can be recycled thanks to the present technological advancement. The 911 Turbo is entirely free of asbestos, CFCs, or components manufactured using CFCs. Water based paints are used throughout the car. This reduces the need for chemical solvents during production at the factory.
- Noise
The precision engineering of the 911 Turbo can be calculated by high power output and low noise output which is basically adopts the worldwide limitations. Rigid engine components, light moving parts, and tight tolerances prevent vibration and resonance. Highly durable, stainless-steel mufflers minimize exhaust noise throughout the life of the car. Porsche makers were able to get rid of the noise at its origin.
- Fuel System
The main developments done in the fuel system was the decrease in the evaporation of hydrocarbons. It has been attained through a combination of an active carbon filter and a specially coated fuel tank. All the fuel lines carrying liquid are made from aluminum, while those carrying vapors use multi-layer plastic.
